Brand General Manager, Luxury
A global luxury brand is seeking a Brand General Manager to lead operations, drive growth, and uphold brand excellence. You’ll oversee a talented team, execute market strategies, and ensure a premium client experience. The role offers impact, flexibility, and growth within a collaborative environment.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive local market strategies that drive sustainable business growth while enhancing brand equity in alignment with global directives.
- Monitor industry trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and adapt business plans proactively to maintain a competitive advantage in the luxury sector.
- Drive top-line revenue by overseeing sales performance, managing key account relationships, and implementing effective client acquisition strategies tailored to high-value clientele.
- Ensure operational excellence across all points of sale—including boutiques and partner locations—by optimising inventory management, merchandising, and compliance with internal policies as well as legal requirements.
- Champion a client-centric culture by setting service standards that exceed expectations, cultivating long-term loyalty among clients through personalised experiences.
- Represent the brand at regional events, partnerships, and public engagements to reinforce its reputation for excellence and authenticity within the luxury market.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent across sales, operations, and back-office functions while fostering an environment of accountability, shared goals, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and succession planning activities to ensure team members are supported in their career progression.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams locally and internationally to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, and other key initiatives.
- Oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, P&L management, forecasting, and reporting to ensure commercial objectives are consistently met.
What you bring:
- Minimum 8–10 years’ proven experience in senior management roles within luxury or premium consumer goods sectors is required for this position.
- Demonstrated expertise in retail operations combined with a successful track record of driving business results through effective leadership.
- Deep understanding of luxury market dynamics including customer behaviour patterns and best-in-class clienteling practices is essential.
- Strong financial acumen encompassing budgeting processes, profit-and-loss oversight, forecasting accuracy, and detailed reporting capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships both internally with teams and externally with discerning clients.
- Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to represent the brand eloquently at public events or during high-stakes negotiations.
- Capacity to manage ambiguity effectively while operating within environments characterised by high standards for quality service delivery.
- Multilingual proficiency—especially English, French, Mandarin or Arabic—is highly advantageous for engaging diverse stakeholders across international markets.
- Experience working with multicultural teams or exposure to international markets is preferred as it enhances your ability to navigate complex organisational structures.
- A genuine passion for the luxury industry coupled with deep appreciation for craftsmanship ensures alignment with core brand values.
