- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand market share across diverse European territories, focusing on both established and emerging sectors.
- Collaborate closely with headquarters to establish subsidiaries in Europe, including recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring local sales personnel to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Gather intelligence on major trade shows throughout Europe, coordinate participation with distribution partners, and align marketing efforts for maximum media exposure.
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities within the education sector, video conferencing industry, and AI hardware/software markets by understanding client needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and conduct thorough sales training sessions for channel partners to enhance their product knowledge and selling capabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer information, track sales progress against targets, and prepare detailed management reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing teams to design campaigns that resonate with local audiences while supporting broader brand objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity within assigned regions to anticipate market trends and adjust tactics proactively.
- Support ongoing recruitment efforts by identifying talent gaps within the European sales team and participating in selection processes as needed.
- Undertake additional projects or tasks as assigned by senior management to contribute to overall organisational success.
What you bring:
To excel as Sales Manager – Europe, you will bring extensive experience navigating complex international markets—ideally within technology sectors—and a history of consistently achieving ambitious sales goals. Your background should reflect hands-on involvement in both software and hardware solution selling environments where adaptability was essential. You will demonstrate outstanding communication abilities in English (and preferably other languages), along with comfort presenting at industry events or leading training workshops. Your approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration; you thrive when connecting people from diverse backgrounds around common objectives. Proficiency with productivity tools like Excel ensures you can analyse data effectively while preparing insightful reports. - A minimum of ten years’ experience in international sales or business development roles with demonstrable achievements in meeting or exceeding revenue targets within complex markets.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle business development processes from lead generation through closing deals across multiple European countries.
- Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) at an advanced level; additional European languages are highly desirable but not required.
- Hands-on experience selling both software applications (such as AI translation tools) and hardware devices (including AI agents or edge inference equipment).
- Familiarity with organising or participating in large-scale trade exhibitions as well as designing effective co-marketing campaigns alongside distribution partners.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word for reporting purposes as well as preparing compelling presentations for internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building trust-based relationships across cultures while fostering teamwork among geographically dispersed colleagues.
- Experience delivering engaging product demonstrations or conducting structured training sessions for channel partners or internal teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail when updating customer records or preparing management reports.
- Previous expatriate assignment(s) or willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe on behalf of the organisation.
