What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive internal control and risk management frameworks aligned with both local Taiwan regulations and overseas corporate requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of IT management processes to ensure full compliance with internal policies as well as external legal obligations.
- Prepare and deliver timely reports and IT compliance information to local and foreign government regulators as required by law or company policy.
- Provide expert advice on all matters related to IT governance, risk, and compliance to internal employees across various departments.
- Design and deliver compliance-related training sessions and provide ongoing information support to staff members throughout the organisation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and promote best practices in IT security.
- Utilise industry-standard security tools such as SIEM, SCCM, and SEP to monitor systems, detect vulnerabilities, and respond proactively to emerging threats.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, incidents, lessons learned, and ensure these insights are shared effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Support project administration functions by proactively managing deadlines, work plans, and ensuring all activities align with organisational objectives.
- Foster an inclusive team environment by appreciating individual contributions, encouraging knowledge sharing, and building strong interpersonal connections.
What you bring:
- A minimum of five years’ experience working within IT security, risk management or compliance roles where you have demonstrated your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
- At least three years’ exposure to the financial services sector which has equipped you with deep understanding of industry-specific challenges relating to data protection and governance.
- Proven track record of collaborating within multifaceted business information systems environments where adaptability is essential for success.
- Experience using leading IT security tools such as SIEM (Security Information Event Management), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), or SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) for monitoring system health and responding to incidents.
- Excellent organisational skills complemented by strong documentation capabilities that enable you to keep thorough records while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting your approach according to evolving business needs or regulatory changes without compromising quality or accuracy.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships built on mutual respect; you value each team member’s input while contributing constructively towards shared objectives.
- Strong written communication skills in English which allow you to prepare clear reports for both internal stakeholders and external regulators alike.
- A proactive attitude towards project support tasks including setting responsible deadlines, creating personal work plans, and following through on commitments until completion.
- Up-to-date knowledge of new developments within the field of IT—both inside your current organisation’s scope as well as broader industry trends.
