What you'll do:
As a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer based in Taipei, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both sales and engineering teams throughout the lifecycle of cable backplane system programmes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines to define connector solutions that meet specific programme requirements. You will use your expertise in signal integrity to develop strategies for product introduction at new accounts, provide simulations and evaluations of potential topologies, and create tailored approaches for customer pinouts and routing challenges. By sharing your knowledge within an established team of engineers, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflows. Your involvement extends beyond technical tasks; you will assist customers across different sectors with their high-speed data transmission needs, design next-generation test platforms, support production excellence, resolve PCB layout issues, and verify products through hands-on circuit board design and measurement. * Support Sales Engineers and Field Application Engineering teams on multiple cable backplane system programmes by assisting in the definition of appropriate connector solutions based on programme requirements.
* Develop strategies for product introduction at existing and new accounts by leveraging your signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise to support internal Sales Engineers.
* Provide link simulation and evaluation of potential topologies, ensuring optimal performance for customer applications.
* Create signal integrity strategies tailored to customer pinouts and routing challenges, addressing complex design needs with precision.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team of signal integrity engineers and other specialists, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in methods and workflows.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Signal Integrity Engineer position brings proven experience in component design specifically focused on high-speed connectors used within communications equipment. Your proficiency with advanced measurement tools such as TDRs, VNAs, pattern generators, error detectors—and your ability to debug complex signal integrity issues—will be crucial. You should have hands-on experience characterising components both in frequency-domain and time-domain settings while understanding best practices for test/calibration methods. Familiarity with industry-standard simulation software like Ansys HFSS & Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MatLab or ADS is expected. Beyond technical skills, your strong interpersonal abilities enable you to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams; your sensitivity towards customer needs ensures that solutions are always tailored appropriately. Dependability in supporting production excellence combined with enthusiasm for ongoing learning makes you an asset not only technically but also culturally within the organisation.
* Experience in component design and application of high-speed connectors into communications equipment is highly desirable for this role.
* Proficiency with signal integrity measurements and debugging using TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry), VNA (Vector Network Analyzer), pattern generators, error detectors, or similar measurement equipment is essential.
* Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component/circuit characterisation including comprehensive understanding of test and calibration methods is required.
