What you'll do:
You will play a central role in shaping the future of connected television experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve setting vision and direction for Smart TV platform products while building strong relationships with global OEM partners. - Define and own the comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for advanced TV platform solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Serve as the primary Product Manager for all OEM relationships and integrations, acting as the main point of contact for Smart TV manufacturers, operating system providers, and chipset designers.
- Cultivate long-term strategic partnerships with Smart TV OEMs by developing collaborative value exchange models that maximise data collection while respecting partner perspectives.
- Drive initiatives to increase data depth from OEM partners by exploring new data types and securing approval for innovative features such as fingerprinting native applications.
- Supervise and mentor the Product Manager responsible for Capture/Harvest architecture, fostering alignment with broader data strategy goals and supporting their professional growth.
- Work closely with engineering teams to re-architect capture mechanisms for greater accuracy, scalability, automation, and comprehensive live event coverage.
- Partner with Business Development leaders to craft compelling value propositions for OEMs that support mutual growth and sustainable collaboration.
- Ensure seamless integration of data from both new and existing OEM partners into the company’s robust data infrastructure, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
- Contribute to strategic discussions regarding market reach, panel size requirements, and international expansion plans into regions such as India, LATAM, and Japan.
- Address challenges related to data access from OEMs by navigating restrictions thoughtfully and finding mutually agreeable solutions that support ongoing business needs.
What you bring:
You will bring extensive experience guiding product lifecycles within media technology or consumer electronics sectors. Your background should include hands-on work with hardware integrations or platform-based solutions alongside proven success managing high-value partnerships—particularly those requiring cross-cultural awareness. Experience leading teams is important; your nurturing approach will help others grow while aligning their efforts with organisational goals. A solid grasp of connected TV ecosystems—including device-level technologies—and familiarity with consent management protocols are crucial. You should also understand how large-scale data is captured, processed, licensed, and integrated into commercial offerings. Your interpersonal skills must be exceptional: you’ll need to build trust internally while negotiating externally in ways that foster long-term cooperation. Strategic insight paired with practical execution abilities will enable you to navigate evolving priorities without losing sight of big-picture objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in product management within media technology, advertising technology, consumer electronics or related industries—especially involving hardware or platform integrations.
- Proven track record managing strategic partnerships with major companies in Asia or other international markets, showing sensitivity to cultural nuances and business practices.
- Experience supervising or mentoring other product managers or technical teams in a collaborative environment focused on shared outcomes.
- Familiarity with American companies or startups is highly desirable; ability to adapt communication style accordingly when working across time zones or cultures.
- Deep understanding of the TV/Connected TV ecosystem including OEM landscape, TV operating systems (TVOS), device-level technology, consent management frameworks, and distribution channels.
- Knowledge of data capture methodologies, processing workflows, licensing concepts, privacy considerations, and best practices for integrating large-scale datasets into downstream products.
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills combined with sound business acumen; able to balance assertive negotiation tactics with empathy towards partner needs.
- Executive presence suitable for representing the company at director level or higher in external meetings or industry forums.
- Outstanding cross-functional collaboration abilities; able to communicate clearly across engineering, business development, legal/compliance teams as well as external stakeholders.
- Strong prioritisation skills; adept at driving multiple complex initiatives simultaneously through effective planning and resource allocation.
