What you'll do:

• Implement and optimise firmware architectures and applications to ensure superior audio quality and reliable connectivity across all mobile speaker products.
• Participate actively in the initial design phase of new products by studying technical feasibility, providing design options, and clearly communicating their associated tradeoffs to product and design teams.
• Plan comprehensive product development tasks by evaluating risks and dependencies, collaborating closely with product managers and management to allocate resources effectively and establish realistic schedules.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware designs while adhering strictly to industry standards and best practices, ensuring compatibility across various platforms.
• Oversee production timelines by managing embedded software development cycles, supporting hardware project milestones, and contributing to post-launch activities such as process change requests (PCR) and customer feedback-driven over-the-air updates.
• Lead and mentor firmware teams from joint development or original design manufacturing partners when required, offering technical guidance, support, and performance management to foster growth within the team.
• Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and standards in Bluetooth or USB audio, firmware engineering, and the broader headset industry to ensure ongoing innovation within projects.

What you bring:

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5~10 years’ experience working within consumer electronics, audio products or embedded software development ensures you bring deep industry knowledge.
• Demonstrated expertise in Bluetooth technology—including hands-on experience with profiles such as HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, as well as LE Audio related services—enables you to deliver robust wireless solutions.
• Proficiency in implementing audio streaming and rendering technologies like Bluetooth, USB audio, I2S interfaces, Codec integration, and DSPs is essential for success in this position.
• Excellent C programming skills combined with a solid understanding of electronic designs allow you to develop efficient firmware solutions.
• A thorough grasp of RTOS alongside device driver development equips you to handle complex system requirements.
• Experience with battery management systems and power optimisation techniques in portable devices ensures long-lasting product performance.
• Hands-on familiarity with BT sniffers, USB protocol analysers, logic analysers supports effective troubleshooting during development cycles.
• Strong experience using Git for version control and Jira for project tracking demonstrates your ability to manage complex workflows collaboratively.
