Mechanical Component Engineer

An international networking company is looking for Mechanical Component Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with new and existing suppliers in the strategic development and execute strategic sourcing processes by RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
• Manage cost and build cost models and procurement price analysis via BOM and comprehensive suppliers cost structure in the market
• Use metrics and tools to monitor progress and supplier scorecards
• Interface with Project Management teams and Engineering to assess and engage with suppliers to ensure market and cost competitiveness for NPI projects
• Manage whole aspects of new supplier bring-up, qualification, capacity planning, cycle time, yield analysis, assurance of supply, and execution to project schedules

Key Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Engineering and plus 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management/global supply management. *with engineer experience is a plus
• Extensive knowledge and ME experience related to Networking, Solar, AGV, IoT
• Solid knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes: metal stamping, extrusions, castings, forgings, welding, and plastic injection molding
• Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
• Experienced in new product line supplier development
