Procurement Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join their team in Taipei City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead procurement strategies, collaborate with various departments, and manage supplier relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's procurement activities align with its commitment to sustainability, financial stability, and quality service levels.

What you'll do:

  • Devise and implement fruitful sourcing strategies
  • Collaborate proactively with departmental budget holders and event coordinators to identify procurement opportunities
  • Select new suppliers carefully, ensuring they adhere to the company's Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Work with the Legal department to review commercial terms and ensure contracts properly define requirements
  • Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
  • Improve payment terms and optimise cash flows
  • Identify supply and quality problems proactively and support the development of corrective actions
  • Maintain records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluate vendor performance
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Procurement department
  • Master degree in Business, Marketing or Purchasing, or a related subject
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutual benefits
  • Quality awareness with the ability to apply and communicate procurement laws, policies and procedures
  • Strong IT skills with experience in IT infrastructure / systems processes
  • Excellent communication skills with advanced knowledge in English and traditional Mandarin
