What you'll do:

• Develop deep expertise in advanced cloud security solutions and leverage your experience to design and qualify comprehensive system-level solutions.
• Participate actively in requirements gathering sessions with Product Managers and contribute thoughtfully to design discussions that shape new features.
• Gain a thorough understanding of secure web gateway use cases and workflows to ensure robust test coverage across all functionalities.
• Create detailed test plans and strategy documents while collaborating closely with development teams to address every aspect of feature implementation.
• Design, implement, and maintain sophisticated automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Pytest Framework, Robot Framework, Selenium or similar technologies.
• Take full responsibility for making informed quality decisions throughout the solution lifecycle from feature inception through production deployment.
• Champion best practices in quality engineering by following established test processes and proactively suggesting improvements based on industry standards.
• Oversee end-to-end testing responsibilities including feature validation, production deployment monitoring, and alerting to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Work collaboratively with development teams and stakeholders during all phases of product development to align strategies, manage risks, and implement effective mitigations.
• Support technical support teams by addressing customer escalations promptly; analyse gaps in existing tests that led to issues and enhance test plans accordingly.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond swiftly to system outages or incidents; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.

What you bring:

• At least seven years of relevant experience including four or more years specialising as a Software Development Engineer in Test within cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming language applied towards building scalable automation frameworks such as Pytest Framework or Robot Framework.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium as well as RESTful Web Service automation techniques for comprehensive coverage.
• Demonstrated capability in distributed system testing within complex cloud infrastructures involving multiple components or services.
• Familiarity with both NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB) and SQL databases (such as MySQL) is considered advantageous for broader test scenarios.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, HTTP communications, SSL/TLS encryption mechanisms adds value to your profile.
• Practical exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) along with containerisation technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, Drone or Hudson supports efficient build-and-test cycles.
• Experience operating within Linux environments combined with familiarity using monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack enhances troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proven track record conducting comprehensive Web User Interface testing ensures high-quality user experiences across platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills enable effective collaboration across diverse teams and clear documentation of complex issues.
