What you'll do:
- Write and maintain comprehensive automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end scenarios using industry-standard tools.
- Build, refine, and optimise automation testing processes with an emphasis on seamless CI/CD integration to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Analyse detailed test results, meticulously log defects, and provide valuable assistance in reproducing issues for swift resolution.
- Design thoughtful test strategies, create thorough test cases, and generate relevant test data tailored to diverse project requirements.
- Support the wider team by participating in feature acceptance testing as well as regression verification to uphold product quality.
- Develop clear test plans and reports while maintaining up-to-date test documentation that supports transparency and traceability.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing with the aid of automation tools to guarantee consistent user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all features meet agreed-upon standards before release.
- Contribute insights during sprint planning sessions to help prioritise testing efforts based on risk assessment and business needs.
What you bring:
- Proficiency with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright demonstrated through hands-on experience building reliable test suites.
- Experience writing effective test scripts using at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman combined with the ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation purposes.
- Expertise in designing comprehensive test cases along with managing defects using platforms such as TestRail or JIRA.
- Solid understanding of black-box testing principles coupled with strong analytical skills for issue reproduction and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate clearly within a team setting while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners.
