What you'll do:

  • Validate Windows operating system compatibility by conducting thorough assessments of software and hardware interactions, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to communicate findings, share updates, and manage validation schedules effectively throughout project lifecycles.
  • Perform risk assessments by evaluating issue severity and impact, guiding bug prioritisation and supporting informed release decisions for new products or updates.

  • Document test results comprehensively, maintaining clear records that support transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Contribute to Scrum ceremonies when required, collaborating with agile teams to align on goals, track progress, and adapt plans as needed.
  • Support junior engineers by sharing best practices, offering guidance on troubleshooting techniques, and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor industry trends related to Windows OS compatibility testing, integrating new tools or methodologies that benefit the wider team.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Windows operating system compatibility validation within enterprise or consumer technology environments.
  • Proficiency in validating cloud-based applications coupled with a solid understanding of cloud architectures is highly desirable for this role.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to manage complex validation schedules while balancing multiple priorities in a cooperative manner.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing issue severity and impact during risk assessment activities that inform bug prioritisation decisions.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process optimisation within testing workflows; familiarity with proposing or implementing automation solutions is advantageous.
