What you'll do:

• Collaborate closely with research and development as well as product management teams to develop comprehensive test strategies aligned with project milestones.
• Design, implement, and execute detailed test plans, cases, and reports covering both back-end and front-end systems to ensure overall software quality.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for API, user interface, and performance testing using modern tools and programming languages.
• Validate new features and bug fixes by thoroughly understanding application updates and ensuring robust app releases.
• Maintain, expand, and optimise an all-in-one testing platform to support evolving project requirements and improve efficiency.
• Refactor existing automation codebases to enhance modularity, readability, maintainability, and overall system performance.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting their professional growth to help the team exceed its goals.
• Propose innovative solutions to cross-team challenges with a focus on delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
• Assist with app-related release activities to guarantee smooth deployments and minimal disruption for end users.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance methodologies, software development life cycles, and best practices for process improvement.
• Minimum five years’ experience in software quality assurance or as a software development engineer in test within complex technology environments.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid mobile applications and related technologies; prior exposure to payment systems is highly desirable but not essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or JavaScript programming languages for developing robust automation scripts.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for managing codebases collaboratively within agile teams.
• Proven ability to create automation scripts targeting API, UI, and performance testing using tools like Pytest, Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork, empathy, and co-operation in fast-moving agile settings.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail during tight deadlines.
