What you'll do:

• Design comprehensive test strategies based on risk assessment to ensure high-quality software releases across multiple platforms.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks using Python and industry-standard tools such as Robot Framework or Pytest.
• Build reusable page objects and modular test components to streamline test creation and maintenance for both Web/UI and API testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab to enable seamless deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to identify root causes of issues related to network dependencies, services, or permissions.
• Manage test data and environments by leveraging database operations (PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or other SQL databases) to support reliable testing outcomes.
• Create clear pull request documentation following best practices in Git branching strategies to facilitate smooth code reviews.
• Implement mock/stub/test doubles to improve the performance and stability of automated tests across various scenarios.
• Continuously update process documentation and govern test data standards to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the QA lifecycle.
• Lead post-mortem analyses after incidents or failures, identifying gaps or risks proactively and championing improvement actions.

What you bring:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in software development or testing roles with at least two years dedicated to maintaining test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or Pytest.
• Proficiency in Python programming with demonstrated ability to build reusable page objects and modular test components for scalable automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Web/UI automation tools like Selenium or Playwright as well as API testing using REST/Requests methodologies integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitLab).
• Familiarity with Git branching strategies coupled with strong skills in writing structured pull request documentation for collaborative code management.
• Solid understanding of database operations including PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or other SQL databases for effective management of test data and environments.
• Knowledge of mock/stub/test double techniques aimed at enhancing testing performance and system stability during automated runs.
• Ability to plan comprehensive test strategies based on risk assessments while building regression, smoke, and integration test suites tailored to project requirements.
• Experience creating detailed process documentation alongside governance of test data standards for consistent QA practices across projects.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills enabling effective collaboration with product managers (PM) and research & development (RD) teams when troubleshooting issues.
• A proactive approach towards identifying unnoticed gaps or risks within existing processes followed by leading improvement initiatives.
