What you'll do:

• Collaborate with research and development as well as product management teams to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans tailored to both backend and frontend systems.
• Create, maintain, and execute automated tests for APIs, user interfaces, and performance metrics using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Ensure the reliability of app releases by thoroughly understanding new features and validating bug fixes across multiple platforms.
• Support app-related release activities by coordinating with cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth deployment cycles.
• Maintain and enhance an integrated testing platform, focusing on improving modularity, efficiency, readability, and maintainability of automation code.
• Refactor existing automation scripts to optimise performance and ensure long-term sustainability of testing processes.
• Mentor junior team members by providing guidance on best practices in software quality assurance and helping them achieve key project milestones.
• Propose effective solutions for process improvements across teams with a focus on deliverable outcomes that align with organisational goals.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing insights that foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement within the team.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance methodologies, software development life cycle stages, and best practices for process optimisation.
• At least five years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or software development engineering in test roles within technology-driven organisations.
• Proficiency with hybrid mobile application technologies along with familiarity with the unique challenges presented by electronic payment systems; prior experience in payments is highly regarded.
• Advanced programming skills in Python or JavaScript enabling you to create efficient automation scripts for diverse testing scenarios.
• Experience utilising version control systems such as Git for collaborative code management within agile teams.
• Expertise in developing automation scripts for API, UI, or performance testing using tools like Pytest, Selenium, Appium, Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills that enable you to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while fostering an atmosphere of trust and respect.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines without compromising attention to detail or overall project quality.
