Software Engineer in Test (Android)

A global leader in mPOS and payment tech is hiring a Software Quality Engineer (Test Automation). You’ll build test frameworks for SDKs, mobile apps, and firmware. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Collaborate with software development teams to define testing needs and design automated test cases for SDKs, iOS/Android apps, firmware, and backend services.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation infrastructure and scripts.
• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and related documentation for functional, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Execute automated test suites to validate product functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Report and track defects; work closely with developers for timely resolution.
• Integrate test suites with Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Promote automated testing best practices and support agile development workflows.
• Leverage your knowledge of Android platforms and mobile development to enhance test automation strategies.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing or QA with a focus on automation.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Go.
• Experience working with Git and CI tools like Jenkins, Travis, or GitLab CI.
• Solid grasp of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation or software QA.
• Experience in Android development using Java or Kotlin is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in English, with additional fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin as a plus.
