An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Technical Project Manager to join a leading global provider of local mobile-first payments solutions. This role is pivotal in maintaining the technical and operational relationships with Digital Wallets, Banking Schemes, and Mobile Carriers. The successful candidate will lead the technical scoping and integration of payment solutions into our client's platform.

What you'll do:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobile-first payments. You will be responsible for managing the technical relationship with Digital Wallets, Banking Schemes, and Mobile Carriers. Your primary responsibility will be leading the technical scoping and integration of their payment solutions into our client's platform. You will also be tasked with conducting comprehensive gap analysis, creating solution designs, managing integration projects from initiation to launch, maintaining effective communication of project status, managing change requests, organising regular project scrums, driving technical issues to resolution, and analysing data sources to understand trends.

  • Conduct comprehensive gap analysis with Digital Wallets, Bank Schemes, Mobile Carrier to ensure their billing solution meets the required technical and operational specifications.
  • Create Solution Designs to ensure the solution meets Merchant, Boku and Payment Issuer (Wallets, Bank Schemes, Carrier) specifications.
  • Lead project planning effort and plan for creation of project plans, task lists, and schedules.
  • Manage integration projects from initiation to launch, focusing on time and quality.
  • Maintain effective communication of project status with regular updates.
  • Manage change requests for any planned updates existing integrations on the payment platform.
  • Organize and facilitate regular project scrum to track project tasks and dependencies.
  • Drive technical issues to resolution with urgency and focus and serve as an escalation point for stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret multiple data sources to understands trends and underlying issues.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Technical Project Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in technical project management within the payments industry. You will have a proven track record of integrating with third-party web services across a variety of technologies. Your understanding of mobile development frameworks and technologies, coupled with your excellent SQL skills, will be crucial in this role. Your ability to deliver integration projects from concept to launch, build and maintain collaborative relationships with partners, and gather insights from data to identify underlying issues will set you apart. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scrum, agile development environment will be key to your success.

  • 5-12 years of technical project management experience in payments industry with Payment Aggregators, Wallets, Bank Schemes etc.
  • Experience integrating with third party web services across a variety of technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • Good understanding of mobile development frameworks and technologies.
  • Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Successful track record in delivering integration projects from concept to launch.
  • High degree of technical competency in software development practices, project management and the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business needs.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to gather insights from data to identify underlying issues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scrum, agile development environment with ability to multi-task and respond flexibly to change.
