What you'll do:

• Design, implement, test, and maintain clean, scalable web interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as React and Redux to ensure seamless user experiences across platforms.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including AI specialists to prototype new features, ship updates efficiently, and refine existing functionalities based on real-world feedback.
• Develop robust backend services that integrate smoothly with frontend components, supporting complex workflows involved in AI data capture, labelling, model training, and dashboard visualisation.
• Leverage TypeScript for type-safe application development while ensuring code quality through best practices in testing and documentation.
• Utilise Python for backend logic and PostgreSQL for database management to deliver reliable and high-performing software solutions.
• Employ Docker for containerised deployments, optimising resource usage whether running on cloud infrastructure or resource-constrained environments like Raspberry Pi devices.
• Continuously monitor user feedback to identify areas for improvement, recommending enhancements that elevate product usability and accessibility.
• Participate actively in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical discussions to foster a culture of collaboration and mutual support within the engineering team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to frontend engineering and AI-driven applications, applying new insights to improve project outcomes.
• Contribute to the overall success of the team by mentoring junior engineers and supporting inclusive practices that encourage diverse perspectives.

What you bring:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development with a proven record of delivering complex web applications from concept through deployment.
• Expertise in building responsive user interfaces using React, Redux, TypeScript, CSS modules or styled-components for visually appealing results.
• Proficiency in backend programming with Python coupled with strong database management skills using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker for efficient deployment across various environments including cloud platforms or edge devices like Raspberry Pi.
• Experience working collaboratively within international teams where excellent English communication skills facilitate smooth coordination across time zones.
• Ability to quickly prototype new features based on evolving requirements while maintaining high standards for code quality through rigorous testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of low-level hardware integration (such as WebAssembly or Linux SBCs/GPUs) is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued.
• Previous exposure to startup environments is considered a bonus as it demonstrates adaptability within fast-evolving project landscapes.
