What you'll do:

As a 3D Technical Artist based in Hsinchu, you will immerse yourself in the creation of digital twins and intricate 3D assets that drive the core of AI-powered manufacturing solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve importing complex industrial data into advanced platforms like Omniverse, building procedural model generators for various types of equipment, and collaborating with AI engineers to simulate realistic factory environments. You will also play a key role in generating synthetic datasets essential for training visual inspection algorithms. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also an eye for detail when analysing object forms and textures. By leveraging your experience with node-based tools and artistic fundamentals, you will ensure every asset is both visually compelling and technically robust. Your ability to communicate clearly across disciplines will help streamline workflows while your adaptability allows you to thrive amid the dynamic demands of a growing start-up.

  • Import complex 3D data from industrial and architectural software such as CAD or Revit into Omniverse, ensuring seamless integration for simulation purposes.
  • Design and build procedural generators for industrial equipment models including automation machinery and conveyor systems, enabling scalable asset creation.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers to construct fully simulated digital twins of manufacturing environments that support advanced visual inspection training.
  • Assist in producing high-quality synthetic 3D datasets tailored for AI training needs, such as simulating product defects on specific production lines.
  • Analyse sample objects to identify patterns in form and surface texture, applying these insights to enhance realism and accuracy in 3D assets.
  • Utilise node-based digital content creation tools like Blender, Substance, or Houdini to develop detailed models, materials, and lighting setups.
  • Apply foundational artistic principles—including proportion, lighting, and composition—to ensure all assets meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to align artistic vision with technical objectives throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contribute to workflow optimisation by providing feedback on best practices and documentation for cross-functional processes.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting project priorities typical of a start-up environment, taking on diverse tasks ranging from data preparation to high-level algorithmic design.

What you bring:

To excel as a 3D Technical Artist in this role, you bring a blend of proven experience in both creative artistry and technical implementation within the realm of 3D asset production. Your background includes several years spent mastering node-based tools such as Blender or Houdini while developing procedural models that serve practical functions in industrial settings. You possess an intuitive grasp of how form, texture, lighting, and composition interact within digital spaces—skills honed through hands-on work across diverse projects. Your strong interpersonal abilities enable you to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from different disciplines; you are comfortable translating complex requirements into actionable tasks while maintaining open channels of communication. Whether adapting existing workflows or embracing new technologies like Omniverse or Python scripting, your commitment to ongoing learning ensures you remain at the forefront of industry trends. Above all else, your passion for connecting art with technology drives you to deliver results that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound.

  • A keen observational ability that enables you to analyse samples and discern underlying patterns in object shapes and surface textures for accurate asset creation.
  • Proficiency with node-based digital art content creation tools such as Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, or Houdini for developing complex models and materials.
  • Demonstrated capability in 3D procedural modelling techniques that facilitate efficient generation of varied industrial assets.
  • At least five years’ experience working within the 3D field, ideally involving both artistic and technical responsibilities across multiple projects.
  • Solid understanding of core artistic principles including proportion/scale, lighting design, and compositional balance as applied to digital environments.
  • Excellent communication skills that foster effective collaboration between artists, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout project phases.
  • Familiarity with importing data from industrial or architectural software (e.g., CAD or Revit) into simulation platforms like Omniverse is highly desirable.
  • Experience or interest in Python programming can further enhance your ability to automate workflows or solve complex problems across disciplines.
  • A background in AI-related projects or basic knowledge of physical laws would be advantageous but not required; willingness to learn these areas is essential.
  • Ability to bridge artistic vision with technical execution by providing clear guidance on workflow improvements, best practices, and documentation.
