[FinTech Leader] Data Engineering Team Lead

Our client is the leading fintech powerhouse in Taiwan, facilitating over 3 billion monthly transactions for a user base exceeding 6 million. We are seeking a Data Team Lead to spearhead the evolution of their large-scale data ecosystem. This is a strategic leadership role focused on architecting high-availability data infrastructures, mentoring a high-performance engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Infrastructure Architecture: Lead the design and optimization of scalable data infrastructures across hybrid environments (Cloud/GCP and On-premises) to ensure high performance and cost-efficiency.

• Data Pipeline Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of complex ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, security, and reliability for both batch and real-time processing.

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to define data models and drive the development of innovative data products.

• Technical Innovation: Guide the adoption of emerging technologies—such as CDC tools and advanced streaming solutions—to support the rapid scaling of the business.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of data engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.

• Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in SQL, Shell scripting, and at least one programming language (Python/Scala), alongside expertise in distributed engines like ClickHouse, PySpark, Kafka, BigQuery, and Airflow.

• Architectural Expertise: Demonstrated success in building Data Lake/Warehouse architectures and implementing large-scale storage solutions.

• Modern Data Stack: Practical experience with cloud-based processing (GCP Dataflow/AWS) and streaming methodologies (CDC).

• Communication Excellence: The ability to manage diverse stakeholders and translate complex technical roadmaps into business value.
