What you'll do:

• Conduct comprehensive business and data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and areas for improvement that inform strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated SQL queries and perform complex data transformations within BigQuery to enable analytical use cases as well as early-stage AI or machine learning models.
• Design, build, and optimise robust data pipelines that power reporting solutions, advanced analytics projects, and scalable AI/ML workflows.
• Create interactive dashboards and insightful reports using leading data visualisation tools to clearly communicate findings to diverse business stakeholders.
• Ensure high standards of data quality by implementing validation checks, investigating anomalies, and contributing actively to data lineage and governance practices.
• Work closely with business units, product teams, and global technology partners to translate requirements into effective data-driven solutions that address real-world challenges.
• Maintain clear documentation of analytical workflows while promoting best practices throughout the team’s operations.
• Support the adoption of modern data workflows by sharing knowledge and encouraging collaboration across technical and non-technical domains.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organisation’s analytics ecosystem by identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field demonstrating strong foundational knowledge in technology disciplines.
• At least five years’ experience in roles focused on data analytics, analytical engineering, or data engineering within complex organisations.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for tasks such as data processing, automation scripting, and workflow optimisation.
• Expert-level SQL skills with hands-on experience using BigQuery on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for large-scale analytical workloads.
• Proven track record of building engaging dashboards using industry-standard visualisation tools tailored for business users’ needs.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms as well as modern approaches to managing end-to-end analytical workflows.
• Impact-driven mindset with a focus on delivering measurable value through practical solutions rather than theoretical ideals.
• Curiosity paired with rapid learning abilities; comfortable navigating both technical details and broader organisational objectives.
• Collaborative approach; able to work effectively within global teams operating in Agile environments while communicating fluently in English and Mandarin.
