What you'll do:

As a Quantitative Researcher – Machine Learning based in Taipei, you will play an integral role in advancing the capabilities of high-performance trading systems. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with other researchers to understand market data intricacies, designing sophisticated deep learning models that address unique challenges in quantitative finance, and ensuring these models are both scalable and efficient. You will be responsible for optimising feature engineering processes using advanced programming skills, conducting thorough backtesting to validate model reliability across various market scenarios, and integrating your solutions into live trading environments where speed and accuracy are paramount. Success in this role requires not only technical expertise but also a commitment to teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement within a supportive setting.

  • You will analyse and preprocess complex orderbook data to ensure robust input for model development.
  • You will design deep learning models tailored for time-series and orderbook data using architectures such as Transformers, RNNs, CNNs, and Attention mechanisms.
  • You will implement scalable training pipelines by parallelising data loading processes to maximise efficiency.
  • You will develop and optimise orderbook features using C++ to enhance model performance within trading systems.
  • You will conduct rigorous backtesting across multiple markets to evaluate model effectiveness under diverse conditions.
  • You will deploy models into real-time, low-latency production environments, integrating seamlessly with existing trading infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in deep learning architectures including Transformers, RNNs, CNNs, and Attention mechanisms is expected.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with additional experience in Jax or PyTorch being valuable.
  • Solid mathematical foundation encompassing probability theory, linear algebra, calculus, and statistical analysis is required.
