[Promising EC] Senior Data Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and scale a robust data foundation that supports millions of users and real-time operations. This role focuses on data governance, quality, and platform scalability. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate across business and technical teams to turn data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Define and implement data quality standards and best practices to ensure consistency and completeness.

• Design, maintain, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.

• Drive enterprise-level data governance initiatives aligned with compliance requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.

• Collaborate with product, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance data governance maturity across the organization.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of data models to support decision-making, risk assessment, and customer analytics.

• Explore and adopt new data technologies (AI/ML, Data Lakehouse, cloud computing) to improve data processing efficiency.

• Evaluate and integrate data tooling such as DBT, Great Expectations, Apache Airflow, and DataHub.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, data cleaning, and data transformation.

• Proficient in SQL and Python; familiarity with R is a plus.

• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and tools (e.g., DBT, Great Expectations).

• Understanding of data governance principles and regulatory frameworks like GDPR, DMBOK, or ISO 8000.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with big data and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, or Data Lakehouse architecture.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Prior experience in team leadership is a plus, but not required.
