Data Director (FinTech)

We are partnering with a fast-growing fintech company to find an experienced Data Director to lead their data strategy, engineering, and governance efforts. The company is already market-proven with a large user base, and is now entering a phase of deepening data-driven decision making across all business and product lines. This role will be pivotal in shaping their next-generation data platform and culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and scale a cross-functional data team (Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, and Governance)

• Design and maintain modern data platform infrastructure (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Redshift, BigQuery)

• Establish and enforce data governance, privacy, and compliance standards

• Collaborate with product, engineering, risk, marketing, and executive teams to drive data-led decision making

• Build a strong data culture and develop internal frameworks for insight generation and experimentation

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of experience in data-related roles, including data platform development and team leadership

• Strong understanding of data architecture, pipeline design, and large-scale data infrastructure

• Solid experience in managing data quality, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI)

• Ability to translate business needs into data strategies and foster alignment across stakeholders

• Excellent communication skills with a product-oriented mindset
