What you'll do:

• Design and develop services to process and analyse large-scale data using distributed systems.
• Assist other teams in architecting applications utilising data services, ensuring best practices and robust designs.
• Evaluate and contribute to open-source technologies to meet organisational needs.
• Collaborate with Application Development and Product Management teams to scale underlying services.
• Provide analytics on usage patterns, anticipate capacity issues, and aid in long-term planning.
• Design and implement scalable data mining and analytics frameworks using advanced tools and techniques.

What you bring:

• 8+ years of experience in building scalable distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with automated testing and code coverage measurement.
• Proven track record in developing complex data platforms using technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, MySQL, Hadoop, BigQuery, and other open-source databases.
• Expertise in designing and implementing large, fault-tolerant distributed systems with columnar data stores.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
