Senior Data Engineer

looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and develop high-performance, data-intensive backend systems. This role requires expertise in backend development, database design, and cloud technologies to create scalable and maintainable solutions that drive our business forward.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Develop robust and high-performance backend systems tailored for data-intensive applications.
• Design and maintain clean, efficient streaming and ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate on database architecture, leveraging relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Work with distributed file systems (e.g., HDFS) to optimize large-scale data operations.
• Build and deploy applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, using tools like Lambda, Serverless, and Cloud Functions.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• 5+ years of experience with static-typed languages like Go, Java, Scala, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining streaming and ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their ecosystem, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in data modeling for relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and columnar formats (e.g., Parquet).
• Advanced knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink.
• Proficiency in scaling large databases and data-heavy applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Docker.
• Knowledge of MLOps workflows, including data ingestion, cleaning, training, deployment, and scaling.
• Deep understanding of databases like MySQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB.
• Expertise in designing fault-tolerant systems for mission-critical applications.
