The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, with a preference for those specialising in information management, mathematics, statistics or EMBA. With at least two years of experience leading multi-functional squad teams and five years as a tech lead, you'll be well-versed in agile methodologies and possess the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions. Your technical proficiency will enable you to communicate effectively with engineering teams and solve technical constraints. * Opportunity to lead 10+ multi-functional engineers per team * Chance to guide and improve scrum development performance * Role involves significant collaboration and adaptability

What you'll do:

As an Engineering Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our client's operations. You'll be fully accountable for the quality and timeliness of product delivery, fostering a healthy scrum team environment, and guiding its performance. Your collaborative skills will be put to use as you work closely with stakeholders for capacity planning and ensure timely delivery by project owners. Leading a team of 6-10 multi-functional engineers, you'll provide guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain team morale. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the technical strategy of the team.

  • Fully responsible for product delivery quality and deadline
  • Foster a healthy scrum team and guide its development performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for capacity planning in every cycle
  • Guide project owner and story owner to deliver on time
  • Work with other Engineering Managers for resource utilisation
  • Lead 6-10 multi-functional engineers per team, as for the Senior Manager role, the successful candidate will have to lead a team of 25-30 engineers.
  • Provide guidance and coaching through one-on-one sessions
  • Conduct high-quality performance evaluations through personal tracking
  • Profile each team member's strengths and weaknesses
  • Align and push for team success while maintaining team morale

What you bring:

The successful Engineering Manager will bring a wealth of experience to the role. With a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, you'll have spent at least two years leading multi-functional squad teams and five years as a tech lead in your domain. Your understanding of agile methodologies and strong analytical skills will enable you to interpret data and make informed decisions. Your technical proficiency and effective communication skills will be key in liaising with engineering teams and solving technical constraints. You'll also bring knowledge and solid experience in establishing Engineering Practices such as TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (information management, mathematics, statistics or EMBA)
  • At least two years' experience leading multi-functional squad teams
  • Minimum five years' experience as a tech lead in your domain
  • Understanding of agile methodologies with experience working in agile environments
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Technical proficiency with effective communication skills
  • Knowledge and solid experience in establishing Engineering Practices (e.g., TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies)
  • Capability as lead engineer or above in Fullstack, Unity and Game development or Infrastructure and DevOps
