What you'll do:

• Design, build, and enhance backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, and data flows that support robust production workloads across multiple environments.
• Develop sophisticated AI-related workflows including model integrations, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines tailored for real-time enterprise applications.
• Improve deployment processes by implementing best practices for monitoring, reliability, and platform stability within a distributed multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI infrastructure and proactively select tools that elevate product capabilities and engineering efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with users and internal stakeholders to translate evolving requirements into actionable product improvements that drive business value.
• Take full ownership of features from initial scoping through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration, ensuring high-quality deliverables at every stage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering culture by sharing insights, mentoring peers, and participating in code reviews.
• Support the integration of modern cloud-native technologies to streamline development workflows and enhance system scalability.
• Participate in architectural discussions that shape the future direction of the platform while maintaining a focus on security and performance.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of new features aligned with customer needs.

What you bring:

• 5–10 years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on backend or system-level development within complex environments.
• Proficiency in cloud-native backend development using TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or similar programming languages relevant to modern SaaS architectures.
• Demonstrated experience working with contemporary AI technology stacks such as large language model frameworks, retrieval pipelines, vector stores, or related tooling supporting intelligent automation.
• A proven ability to take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle—from initial scoping and architectural design through hands-on implementation and deployment into production environments.
• Comfort operating effectively within fast-moving teams characterised by high levels of responsibility-sharing and minimal hierarchy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with both technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders across diverse functions.
• A commitment to staying current with technological advancements in AI infrastructure and integrating new tools that enhance productivity or product capability.
• Experience contributing to multi-tenant SaaS platforms or distributed systems is highly desirable for this role.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools used for monitoring production environments would be advantageous.
• Background knowledge in building data pipelines or managing graph-style information structures is considered beneficial.
