This role offers you the opportunity to transform marketing strategies into scalable, measurable engineering solutions while fostering a culture of DevOps and collaborative engineering excellence. You will be at the forefront of building robust growth platforms that enable precise tracking, attribution, experimentation, and automation—all within strict security and privacy frameworks. The organisation values flexibility, knowledge sharing, and supportive leadership, providing an inclusive space for your professional growth and offering training opportunities to help you expand your expertise. * Shape the future of MarTech infrastructure by designing systems that handle massive traffic volumes with reliability and low latency, especially during peak events such as major sales campaigns. * Lead a talented engineering team in implementing best practices for code quality, data governance, and DevOps automation, ensuring every marketing investment is measurable and scalable. * Enjoy a workplace that prioritises flexible working arrangements, ongoing training opportunities, and a knowledgeable network dedicated to your success and professional development.
What you'll do:
As a Technical Lead based in Taipei City, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s MarTech foundation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve architecting resilient systems capable of handling immense user traffic while ensuring data integrity under demanding conditions. You will collaborate across departments to refine data pipelines for optimal quality control and work hands-on with modern backend technologies—primarily Golang—to set new standards for code excellence. By integrating advanced APIs for conversion tracking and privacy compliance, you’ll empower the business to make informed decisions about marketing investments. You’ll also foster a supportive team environment by mentoring engineers through regular feedback sessions and nurturing their growth via training opportunities. Your efforts will directly impact how marketing effectiveness is measured at scale while promoting an inclusive engineering culture built on shared goals.
- Design and maintain a high-throughput event tracking system that ensures complete, low-latency data capture even during significant traffic surges.
- Plan and execute the technical roadmap for MarTech solutions, transitioning from client-side to server-side data reporting to enhance scalability and compliance.
- Integrate conversion APIs from major platforms such as Google and Meta to address cookie-less environments and privacy regulations.
- Establish engineering standards centred around Golang, including rigorous code reviews, unit testing protocols, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Define and uphold event schema specifications while automating processes for event declaration, review, validation, and monitoring.
- Resolve cross-platform data consistency challenges such as ID mapping, time zone alignment, deduplication or resending issues, and data backfilling.
- Collaborate closely with Data and Infrastructure teams to optimise ETL/ELT pipeline stability and implement robust data quality monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
- Build or integrate A/B testing platforms with feature flag capabilities to support gradual rollouts and controlled experiments.
- Implement and maintain various attribution models to ensure business metrics like LTV, retention, and ROAS are accurately calculated in real-time systems.
- Guide a team of engineers through goal setting, performance feedback, talent development initiatives, while championing DevOps practices such as CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code.
What you bring:
To excel as a Technical Lead in this organisation’s MarTech division, your background should reflect proven experience in backend software development coupled with demonstrated ability to guide small teams towards shared objectives. Your technical acumen should encompass both system architecture design for high concurrency scenarios as well as foundational knowledge of end-to-end data engineering processes. Familiarity with Golang is preferred; however candidates proficient in Java or Python who are open to learning Go are warmly encouraged. Your interpersonal skills will be essential for effective cross-functional collaboration—translating complex business needs into clear technical deliverables while maintaining open lines of communication. Experience within AdTech/MarTech sectors or private cloud environments will further strengthen your candidacy. Above all else, your commitment to nurturing team growth through supportive leadership aligns perfectly with the organisation’s values.
- At least three years of experience in backend development with one year or more leading small engineering teams (three members or above), demonstrating dependable collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in designing high-concurrency systems with a solid understanding of distributed system principles such as CAP theorem, consistency models, and partitioning strategies.
- Fundamental knowledge of data engineering processes including collection, transmission, storage, and computation workflows.
- Expertise in at least one backend programming language—preferably Golang—or willingness to transition from Java or Python to Go for project needs.
- Excellent communication abilities paired with an owner mindset that enables you to translate ambiguous business requirements into actionable engineering milestones.
- Experience in AdTech or MarTech domains with familiarity in DSP/DMP ecosystems or S2S API integrations (Google/Meta) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Hands-on experience deploying or maintaining systems within on-premise or private cloud environments using tools like Kubernetes (K8s), Kafka messaging queues, or monitoring solutions is advantageous.
- Understanding of contemporary data architectures such as Data Mesh/Fabric or platforms like Trino/Iceberg/DataHub would be beneficial for this role.
- Practical exposure to DevOps/SRE methodologies including DORA metrics implementation, service level objectives/error budgets management, or GitOps workflows is considered a plus.
