This position offers the chance to work closely with international teams, contribute to large-scale migration projects, and develop your expertise in both IT and logistics. The organisation is committed to fostering a supportive environment that values teamwork, professional growth, and continuous learning. If you are looking for a role that combines technical challenges with meaningful impact on business operations, this is the perfect next step for your career.

What you'll do:

As a Staff Engineer based in Taipei, you will be at the heart of regional warehouse management system initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with both local and international colleagues to deliver reliable IT services that underpin critical logistics operations. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with customers and operational teams, ensuring that every project runs smoothly from requirement analysis through to post-implementation support. By participating in system integration testing and providing expert guidance during migrations, you will help drive continuous improvement while expanding your own technical skill set. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a communal setting where teamwork, empathy, and shared success are highly valued.

  • Oversee the local warehouse management system (WMS) team to ensure smooth daily operations and high service levels.
  • Act as the primary service owner for the WMS in Taiwan, ensuring compliance with internal IT policies and standards.
  • Support major WMS migration projects by collaborating with global teams and implementing new solutions as required.
  • Provide second-level support for various warehouse management systems in partnership with support teams based in China.
  • Monitor daily system activities, record key metrics, and proactively address any issues that arise within the WMS environment.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal operations teams during project implementation phases to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Analyse requirements for new accounts or system enhancements, performing basic configuration tasks within the WMS as needed.
  • Participate actively in system integration testing during both initial implementations and ongoing enhancements to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Assist other countries within the APAC region with their WMS migration efforts, sharing expertise and best practices across borders.
  • Implement transportation management systems (TMS) when applicable, broadening your exposure to different aspects of supply chain technology.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as a Staff Engineer will be demonstrated through your strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality results. You bring not only technical know-how but also a warm approach that fosters trust among colleagues. Your background may include previous roles involving warehouse management systems or related IT platforms, giving you insight into both technical challenges and operational realities. You are comfortable navigating multicultural environments, eager to learn from others while contributing your own expertise. Your adaptability ensures you can handle shifting priorities gracefully, always keeping the broader goals of the team in mind. Above all, your passion for supporting others—whether through direct assistance or by sharing knowledge—will make you an invaluable member of this growing organisation.

  • Fluency in both oral and written English is essential for effective communication across diverse teams; proficiency in spoken Chinese would be an advantage for local interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate harmoniously with colleagues from different backgrounds and departments.
  • A dependable approach to task ownership, demonstrating responsibility for assigned duties while maintaining a positive team spirit.
  • A genuine interest in developing your career within the logistics industry, showing enthusiasm for learning about business processes and IT solutions.
  • Experience supporting or implementing warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable, as it will allow you to contribute immediately to ongoing projects.
  • Familiarity with application development or basic SQL/Oracle database skills would be beneficial for troubleshooting and customisation tasks.
  • A self-motivated attitude that drives you to seek out new knowledge and share insights generously with others on your team.
  • The ability to analyse requirements thoughtfully and configure systems accurately according to business needs.
