What you'll do:

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's technology services. You will be working closely with product owners and other development team members to bring new features and user stories into life. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that every increment of the project aligns with the original vision. You will also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced staff, sharing your knowledge and skills. Your advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis will be highly valued.

• Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications or large/complex development projects.
• Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story.
• Respond to trouble/support calls for applications in production in order to make quick repair to keep application in production.
• Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
• Mentor less experienced technical staff; may use high end development tools to assist or facilitate development process.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis, application of analysis/design engineering functions, application of non-functional software qualities such as resiliency, maintainability, etc., and advanced behavior-driven testing techniques.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Java Engineer role is a highly skilled and experienced professional with advanced proficiency in Java 8, Spring Boot. You have hands-on experience with Microservices, particularly Spring Cloud, and are proficient with MySQL. Your experience extends to Public Cache, Message Queue systems, and you are familiar with Coordinator tools like Zookeeper. You have worked with APM tools such as Jaeger and opentracing, and are comfortable with Documentation tools like Springdoc-OpenAPI. Your skillset includes Search and Reporting tools like ElasticSearch, Log Real-time Visualization tools like ELK and Loki, Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Container tools like Docker and Kubernetes. You also have experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD.

• Advanced proficiency in Java 8, Spring Boot
• Experience with Microservices: Spring Cloud (Spring Cloud Config / Open Feign / Spring Cloud Hystrix / Spring Cloud Gateway)
• Proficiency with Database: MySQL (Aurora / RDS)
• Experience with Public Cache: ElastiCache, Redis (MS, Sentinel, cluster)
• Knowledge of Message Queue: Apache RocketMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka
• Familiarity with Coordinator: Zookeeper
• Experience with APM: Jaeger, opentracing
• Proficiency with Documentation: Springdoc-OpenAPI
• Experience with Search and Reporting: ElasticSearch
• Knowledge of Log Real-time Visualization: ELK, Loki
• Experience with Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
