A global US company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in Node.js. This role offers the opportunity to participate in the design of backend architectures, develop high-quality RESTful APIs and backend services. The candidate has to be fluent in English, have a solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts, design patterns, and web protocols, and possess excellent debugging and testing skills.

What you'll do:

• Participate in the design of backend architectures, technology selection, and system planning.
• Develop high-quality RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and related frameworks.
• Design and implement database schemas and operations (preferably PostgreSQL or similar SQL databases).
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend engineers to ensure seamless API integration.
• Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
• Continuously learn and explore new technologies and apply them to our work.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js development.
• Strong familiarity with the latest ECMA-Script specifications.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
• Excellent debugging and testing skills, with a strong focus on defensive programming techniques.
• Solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts, design patterns, and web protocols.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Fluent in English.
