What you'll do:

As a Distinguished Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to architect and implement secure, scalable backend systems for our client's cloud security solutions. You will provide technical leadership to engineering teams while ensuring best practices in software development, security, and cloud-native technologies are adhered to. Your role will involve collaborating with security teams to harden systems against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will also leverage cloud platforms to build robust, cost-effective backend systems capable of handling global large-scale traffic with low-latency and high reliability.

• Design and develop high-performance backend systems for cloud security solutions
• Guide engineering teams through mentorship, technical deep dives, and code reviews
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate best practices into backend services
• Leverage cloud platforms to build robust, cost-effective backend systems
• Continuously enhance system performance, scalability, and availability
• Stay at the forefront of cloud security, microservices, and backend technologies
• Work with various stakeholders to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Maintain the highest code quality standards through unit tests, design reviews, and CI/CD pipeline implementations

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Distinguished Engineer position brings over 20 years of backend engineering experience with expertise in cloud-native technologies and security. You possess strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, Scala or Node.js. Your deep understanding of microservices architecture coupled with your advanced knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP sets you apart from others. Your experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and expertise in security protocols, cryptography and secure coding practices will be crucial to your success in this role.

• 20+ years of backend engineering experience in cloud-native technologies and security
• Strong proficiency in Go, Java, Python, Scala or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and event-driven systems
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP and containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Expertise in security protocols, cryptography and secure coding practices
• Strong background in distributed systems, high-availability architecture and fault tolerance
