What you'll do:

As a Senior Customer Quality Engineer based in Taipei or Hsinchu, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between customers and internal technical teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around managing complex quality investigations, coordinating claim management processes, preparing critical documentation for customer review, and facilitating site visits for audits or issue resolution. You will be instrumental in driving root cause analyses when observations arise, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. By collaborating with engineering experts across multiple disciplines, you will help maintain global alignment on quality standards while nurturing long-term relationships with customers. Your ability to communicate clearly, organise tasks efficiently, and respond promptly to challenges will be key to your success in this role.

  • Coordinate investigations into customer complaints by partnering closely with local Failure Analysis (FA) and Product Engineering (PE) teams, ensuring thorough resolution and transparent communication of outcomes.
  • Manage claim processes efficiently by acting as the main conduit between customers and internal stakeholders, facilitating prompt corrective actions when required.
  • Review and submit customer-requested documentation such as product qualification reports, reliability assessments, 8D problem-solving reports, and FA analysis documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactively visit customer sites as needed or upon request to address quality-related activities, audits, or concerns, fostering strong interpersonal connections.
  • Organise and actively participate in customer visits for quality assurance activities or audits, ensuring all observations are addressed through root cause analysis and effective verification actions.
  • Take ownership of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) preparation, guiding successful outcomes that meet customer approval requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and FA teams during quality issues to ensure global alignment within the organisation while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts when customers identify observations, implementing corrective actions and verifying their effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights from customer feedback with cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions related to quality topics, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Your proven experience as a Senior Customer Quality Engineer will be evident through your deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes gained over at least five years in relevant roles.   • Minimum BS degree in engineering, business administration, quality management or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • At least five years of experience in customer-facing roles within manufacturing or supplier quality functions in the semiconductor industry is essential.
  • Demonstrated background in semiconductor manufacturing processes such as wafer fabrication, package assembly or testing is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) technology and MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) devices is highly desirable but not required.
  • Excellent proficiency with structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D problem solving techniques, Fishbone analysis, 5-Why analysis or Is/Is-Not analysis is expected.
  • Competence in using quality tools such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), Control Plans, FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), SPC (Statistical Process Control) is preferred.
  • Outstanding organisational skills combined with strong written, verbal and presentation abilities are necessary for effective communication across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is important.
