Product / Test Engineer (NPI)

About the Role A global semiconductor company is looking for and Product/Test Engineer (NPI) to join its engineering team in Hsinchu. In this role, you will support the transfer of new products from development into manufacturing, ensuring stable test processes and smooth production ramp. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, test engineering, reliability engineering, and external manufacturing partners to drive product readiness and operational efficiency. This role offers strong exposure to semiconductor product development and provides opportunities to work in a collaborative environment with experienced engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and assist in transferring products from R&D to production

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement test flows and validation processes

  • Coordinate with OSAT partners to ensure smooth execution of backend test operations

  • Analyse test and reliability data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions

  • Support failure analysis investigations and assist in resolving product or test-related issues

  • Participate in initial product validation runs and support test program qualification

  • Assist in maintaining lab equipment and test infrastructure to ensure stable operations

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to test flows, procedures, and engineering activities

  • Support data analysis activities using scripting tools to improve engineering efficiency


Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in product engineering, test engineering, or NPI roles

  • Familiarity with ATE testing environments and semiconductor test flow

  • Understanding of semiconductor packaging and backend processes is preferred

  • Experience in data analysis and engineering problem-solving

  • Programming experience using Python, Matlab, or similar tools is a plus

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Good communication skills in English

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners
