Senior Power MOSFET Design Engineer (Si / SiC)

Save job

A senior-level opportunity for an experienced Power Device Design Engineer specialising in silicon and wide-bandgap technologies. Based in New Taipei / Hsinchu, this role focuses on device design, simulation, and layout verification across the full development lifecycle, from concept through mass production support. The position works closely with process, product, and manufacturing teams, applying simulation-driven methods to deliver high-performance and reliable power devices.

A well-established global semiconductor company is hiring a Senior Power Device Design Engineer, working on advanced power device technologies across Silicon and wide-bandgap platforms.

This position sits within a technically strong and collaborative engineering team, responsible for device design, simulation, and layout verification, while working closely with process integration, product engineering, and manufacturing partners. The scope covers the full product lifecycle—from early device concept and optimisation through to mass production support at foundry level. The devices developed are used in high-reliability automotive and industrial power applications.

Role scope includes:

  • Designing and optimising power semiconductor devices across different voltage ranges, with a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability

  • Applying simulation-driven design approaches using TCAD, SPICE, and finite-element tools to evaluate device behaviour

  • Supporting layout development and verification in collaboration with layout and integration teams

  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from R&D into production

  • Participating in design reviews, technical discussions, and occasional customer-facing support

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of internal design flows and best practices

Background that fits well:

  • 5+ years of experience in power semiconductor or discrete device design

  • Strong foundation in device physics and simulation-based analysis

  • Exposure to trench, planar, or advanced gate structures and ESD considerations

  • Experience supporting foundry interaction or production ramp-up is a plus

  • Able to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams

Why this opportunity stands out:
The team offers a stable structure, strong technical depth, and supportive leadership, with an environment that values knowledge sharing and long-term product ownership. Engineers are encouraged to grow through continuous learning, with flexibility and inclusivity embedded in the working culture rather than treated as add-ons.
