Hardware Engineer

About the Role A global semiconductor technology company is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join its engineering team in Hsinchu. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced hardware platforms supporting product validation, characterisation, and production activities. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors to ensure high-quality hardware deliverables across the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware platforms to support product validation, characterisation, and production activities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise system performance from concept through implementation

• Analyse board test results and support cost optimisation initiatives

• Perform debugging, failure analysis, and hardware troubleshooting

• Manage evaluation board verification and manufacturing processes with external vendors and SMT partners

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts

• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely project delivery

• Support hardware platforms used for internal validation and customer evaluation

• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• At least 3 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal hardware design

• Strong knowledge of signal integrity and electronic circuit design

• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal analyzers

• Experience with PCB design and board-level debugging

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills in English

• Experience with Matlab or Python is a plus

• Familiarity with microcontroller programming is advantageous
