FPGA Engineer (Wireless)
About the Role We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to join the Wireless Systems team in Hsinchu. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation mixed-signal wireless products, focusing on SOC design and advanced FPGA implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and work in an environment that values dependability, collaboration, and supportive leadership. The organisation also provides flexible working arrangements and continuous training opportunities to support long-term career development.
What You Will Do
-
Develop and optimise RTL code for FPGA platforms, ensuring efficiency and functional robustness throughout the design cycle.
-
Conduct FPGA synthesis using industry-standard tools such as Synplify and Vivado.
-
Support system bring-up by verifying FPGA operations and resolving technical issues.
-
Perform thorough testing and validation of SOC designs at the RTL and FPGA levels.
-
Collaborate with firmware, validation, and RF teams to coordinate debug and validation activities for wireless system bring-up.
-
Communicate effectively with remote teams, sharing technical insights and documentation.
-
Optimise FPGA timing through place-and-route techniques aligned with system requirements.
-
Apply knowledge of ARM/MIPS subsystems to strengthen overall SOC integration.
-
Review PCB schematics when required to support hardware-related development.
-
Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders throughout each phase of design and implementation.
What You Bring
-
Strong proficiency in Verilog; SystemVerilog experience is a plus.
-
Solid understanding of FPGA synthesis, place & route, and timing optimisation.
-
Experience with Synplify or Vivado in FPGA design workflows.
-
Knowledge of FPGA verification methodologies and debug processes.
-
Familiarity with ARM/MIPS subsystem integration and SOC architecture.
-
Strong communication skills for effective interaction across distributed teams.
-
Basic understanding of wireless systems (e.g., Bluetooth) is beneficial.
-
Ability to interpret PCB schematics and support hardware activities when needed.
-
A collaborative attitude, dependability, and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
Why This Role Stands Out
