Physical Design Technical Manager (APR)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Hsinchu. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, including floorplan, power plan, physical synthesis, clock tree synthesis, routing, DRC/LVS to tapeout. Your expertise in 55/40nm design and familiarity with Synopsys (ICC2 or FC & PrimeTime)/Cadence (Innovus & Tempus) will be crucial in this role.

What you'll do:

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our client's operations. You will be responsible for performing netlist-to-GDSII design flow and working on hierarchical implementation. Your knowledge of low power design flow, timing closure, IR drop analysis, and crosstalk analysis will be essential. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop CAD utility and design automation. Your ability to support projects and provide consultation will be key in this role. Working with different process nodes to develop the design flow and methodology will also be part of your responsibilities.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Physical Design Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in 55/40nm design. Your familiarity with Synopsys (ICC2 or FC & PrimeTime)/Cadence (Innovus & Tempus) will be instrumental in this role. You are adept at performing netlist-to-GDSII design flow and have experience in hierarchical implementation. Your proficiency in TCL/Perl/Python scripting and design automation will be highly valued. Additionally, your experience in SoC integration, including FrontEnd or BackEnd design flow, will be crucial. Good communication skills are also a must.
