Overview A global technology leader is looking for a Field Application Engineer (HDD) to join its Taipei team. This role focuses on system-level HDD support, customer validation, and close collaboration with both sales teams and headquarters. You will serve as a key technical interface between customers and internal teams, supporting product qualification, validation testing, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities

• Provide system-level technical support for HDD validation and qualification on customer platforms

• Act as the primary technical interface between customers, sales teams, and headquarters

• Support customer projects by responding to technical inquiries and supplying relevant materials

• Participate in customer meetings to present product roadmaps and new technology updates

• Prepare and maintain qualification documentation, including schedules and issue tracking

• Assist with onsite issue analysis and coordinate resolution with internal engineering teams

• Monitor project progress to ensure timelines and quality targets are met

• Collect and relay customer feedback to support product improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with server/network architecture and Windows/Linux environments

• Solid knowledge of SATA or SAS interface protocols

• Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects, documentation, and schedules effectively

• Proactive, responsible, and willing to continuously learn new technologies

• Experience supporting sales activities or customer presentations is a plus
