Our client, NASDAQ-listed IC design house, is one the top IC vendor in Audio IC area.
Currently, they are looking for an AE expert focusing on Power and Mixed Signal devices specially for PC applications. This position plays a fundamental role in bringing next-generation devices for our growing power and battery management business to market by ensuring that customers can easily and effectively integrate our devices into their end products. You'll act as a crucial link between the Field Applications team and Headquarters Marketing and R&D teams, analyzing customer systems and emerging markets, thereby guiding the architectural design for the company's future products.

You'll actively participate in ongoing discussions with major platform partners on revolutionary innovations in power architectures. As a core member of the regional Applications team, you'll work closely with the Applications manager and FAE manager on conducting case studies of support challenges and defining, improving, and formalizing the BU’s product deployment procedures, support flow, and collateral. Supporting customers throughout the complete lifecycle of new product development, including integration into the customer product, is a key daily responsibility for this role.
Job Responsibility:
- Collaborate closely with tier 1 customers, field technical teams, marketing, and internal engineering teams to define, architect, and create collateral for customer use cases involving complex IC designs.
- Provide training to the field technical team and, when necessary, offer direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers.
- Develop reference designs and demonstration platforms.
- Create application notes, white papers, demo boards, and reference design manuals.
- Execute customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis.
- Contribute to next-generation product definition.
- Autonomously manage tasks and priorities.
- Expect to be at customer locations in Taiwan monthly, with approximately 5 weeks of travel abroad per year.
- Expect weekly evening calls with Headquarters to help solve customer issues by working with cross-functional teams in the United States.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (speaking and writing) is mandatory.
- Experience working on power products for PC applications.
- Experience with integrated switched-cap converter, DC-to-DC switching buck and/or boost converters, battery chargers, and fuel gauge.
- Demonstrated profound system understanding of various industry interface standards, like I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, or high-speed control/data bus examples.
- Experience in component selection, schematic entry, and knowledge of PCB layout design.
- Familiarity with scripting/programming language such as Verilog, C, Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Solid hands-on experience in lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and specialized power supplies.
- Proven experience debugging customer system-level issues.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with a track record of interacting directly with customers.
- A strong team player with extensive cross-functional coworking experience that include design, systems, PTE, FA, and program management to drive progress for their product.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and development of power solutions in PC applications (Desktop/Laptop).
- Experience in mobile and or automotive power is also a plus.
