【B2B】Solution Architect (Data Center)
A leading global organisation is seeking a Solution Architect to join their highly collaborative team in Taipei. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Data Center solutions, working closely with business groups and regional teams to deliver integrated offerings that meet complex customer needs.
What you'll do:
As a Solution Architect based in Taipei, you will immerse yourself in the full spectrum of Data Center solution design—from initial requirement gathering through to post-delivery support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide, engaging directly with clients to understand their unique challenges before crafting bespoke integrated offerings. You will play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with commercial objectives by preparing compelling proposals and guiding projects through every stage of their lifecycle. Your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly will empower both colleagues and customers alike, while your commitment to knowledge transfer ensures that best practices are shared across all levels of the organisation. By actively participating in solution validation activities such as PoC or FOAK/SOAK verifications, you will help maintain high standards of quality and innovation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday—balancing technical problem-solving with meaningful interpersonal connections—and who takes pride in seeing their efforts result in successful project outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer and vertical market requirements to inform the design and architecture of integrated Data Center solutions, focusing on both hardware and software portfolios.
- Design electrical power systems such as UPS, SST, BBU, PDU, as well as advanced cooling solutions including In-rack/In-row CDU, CRAC/CRAH, Chillers/CTs for tailored client offerings.
- Evaluate technical gaps and risks within proposed solutions, recommending feasible integration strategies that align with customer objectives while promoting solution value throughout the sales process.
- Prepare detailed cost estimations, solution presentations, and technical proposals during sales and bidding stages to support business development activities.
- Collaborate closely with global business units, regional sales teams, and delivery professionals to ensure seamless execution of solution delivery activities on-site.
- Provide expert training for internal and external project engineers to facilitate effective deployment of solutions in live environments.
- Offer hands-on technical support for on-site engineers addressing integration issues during implementation phases.
- Support Proof-of-Concept (PoC), First-of-a-Kind (FOAK), and Second-of-a-Kind (SOAK) verification activities by managing solution development processes alongside product managers.
- Gather feedback on market trends and evolving customer needs to inform new solution features or enhancements through life-cycle management practices.
- Drive third-party system integration tests when required to ensure robust interoperability between components.
What you bring:
To excel as a Solution Architect in this role, your background should reflect substantial experience supporting enterprise-level technical sales—ideally within the context of Data Center operations or related infrastructure projects. Your ability to navigate complex requirements will be matched by your skill at building rapport with both internal stakeholders and external clients. A deep understanding of electrical power conversion systems or advanced cooling technologies will allow you to contribute meaningfully during solution design discussions. Your bilingual proficiency ensures effective communication across global teams while your analytical approach helps identify areas for improvement throughout each project phase. Beyond technical prowess, your interpersonal sensitivity fosters trust among colleagues—making you a dependable resource for knowledge transfer initiatives. A commitment to ongoing professional development rounds out your profile, positioning you as someone who thrives amid change while always striving for excellence.
- Minimum 8 years’ proven experience supporting global enterprise solution sales activities within technical domains relevant to Data Centers.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one area: Data Center operations; electrical power conversion (UPS) and distribution; cooling systems for Grey Space or White Space; or management systems such as EPMS/BMS.
- Exceptional coordination abilities enabling smooth collaboration between diverse business units, regional teams, customers, and delivery partners.
- Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal—in English and Chinese (Mandarin), facilitating clear exchanges across multicultural settings.
- Strong background in customer engagement coupled with a talent for providing responsive technical support throughout project lifecycles.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies that ensure timely delivery of complex integrated solutions without compromising quality or compliance.
- Analytical mindset capable of identifying potential risks or gaps within proposed architectures while offering practical recommendations for resolution.
- Quick learner who adapts rapidly to new technologies or industry trends relevant to digital transformation initiatives within Data Centers.
- Outgoing personality paired with a growth mindset that encourages continuous learning and positive team dynamics.
