【B2B】Solution Architect (IA)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of industrial automation and smart manufacturing. This position is based in Taipei and offers you the chance to work at the forefront of digital transformation, sustainability, and operational excellence within advanced manufacturing environments.
What you'll do:
As a Solution Architect based in Taipei, you will immerse yourself in the world of industrial automation by collaborating with diverse teams across sales, engineering, and customer organisations. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging deeply with clients to uncover their most pressing operational challenges before translating these insights into comprehensive technical architectures. You will be responsible for guiding the entire solution lifecycle—from initial concept through detailed design—ensuring seamless integration of MES platforms, IIoT devices, predictive maintenance systems, facility management controls, and smart energy solutions. By leveraging your extensive experience in manufacturing operations and ESG-aligned strategies, you will help shape regional approaches that drive both efficiency gains and sustainability improvements. Success in this role requires not only technical acumen but also exceptional interpersonal skills as you build trust-based relationships with clients while leading cross-functional teams towards shared goals.
- Engage with customers to understand their unique challenges in smart manufacturing and facility automation, ensuring all requirements are captured accurately and comprehensively.
- Lead technical discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that align with industry standards as well as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
- Work collaboratively with presales and engineering teams to design integrated systems that leverage MES, IIoT technologies, predictive maintenance tools, and energy optimisation strategies.
- Develop regional strategies tailored to specific industries such as electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or semiconductor production to drive adoption of advanced automation solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation that clearly articulate the value proposition of recommended architectures.
- Translate customer needs into robust technical designs that facilitate digital transformation while supporting operational efficiency and sustainability targets.
- Guide end-to-end solution design processes by integrating software, electrical, and mechanical engineering principles within manufacturing environments.
- Build lasting relationships with key clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders through effective communication and collaborative project delivery.
- Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies in smart manufacturing and ESG integration to ensure solutions remain innovative and relevant.
- Lead cross-functional teams during proposal development phases as well as throughout project planning cycles to ensure successful outcomes.
What you bring:
To excel as a Solution Architect in this environment you will bring an impressive background rooted in industrial automation combined with deep familiarity across multiple engineering disciplines. Your proven experience should include hands-on involvement with MES platforms, IIoT deployments, predictive maintenance initiatives as well as energy optimisation projects—all ideally within high-tech manufacturing sectors such as electronics or semiconductors. Beyond your technical prowess you will demonstrate outstanding communication abilities allowing you to bridge gaps between technical experts and business leaders alike. Your approach should reflect a commitment to collaborative problem-solving underpinned by sensitivity towards both operational needs and broader sustainability imperatives. A postgraduate qualification further enhances your profile while any specialist certifications signal your dedication to continuous learning within this rapidly evolving field.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience working within industrial automation, smart manufacturing environments or facility management roles where ESG integration was a core focus.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations including factory automation systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), analytics platforms, predictive maintenance tools, and energy management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to apply cross-disciplinary knowledge spanning software engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering within complex manufacturing settings.
- Proven track record communicating intricate technical concepts effectively to audiences ranging from engineers to executive stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
- Experience designing solutions that deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency while advancing sustainability objectives aligned with ESG frameworks.
- Master’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with additional certifications in smart manufacturing technologies or ESG considered advantageous.
- Familiarity with industry-specific requirements for electronics assembly lines, PCB fabrication plants or semiconductor facilities is highly desirable for tailoring solutions appropriately.
- Strong relationship-building skills enabling you to foster collaboration among internal teams as well as external partners throughout the solution delivery process.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current market trends along with emerging technologies relevant to smart factories and sustainable facility management.
