This is an exceptional opportunity for you to shape the future of financial technology in one of Asia’s most dynamic markets, leveraging proven technology and a validated product-market fit. You will have full ownership of strategy, execution, and business growth, with the mandate to build a significant regional presence.

What you'll do:

As General Manager – Financial Technology in Taipei, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around building a thriving regional operation from scratch. You will oversee all aspects of business development—from leveraging high-profile reference cases to opening new accounts—while managing the full sales cycle with empathy and responsiveness. Regulatory compliance will be paramount; you’ll ensure all deployments adhere to local standards while advising headquarters on necessary adjustments. As the business grows, you’ll recruit and nurture local talent, evaluate subsidiary incorporation opportunities, and represent the company at influential gatherings. Success in this role requires you to combine strategic vision with collaborative execution, always prioritising inclusive team-building and supportive leadership.

  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Taiwan, targeting all major financial holding companies and their subsidiaries through thoughtful collaboration and partnership.

  • Position the organisation within Taiwan’s fintech ecosystem by engaging with key industry bodies such as FinTechSpace, TFTA, and FinTech Taipei.
  • Take full responsibility for Taiwan’s profit and loss statement, aiming for substantial annual revenue growth within 18 months by nurturing dependable client relationships.
  • Leverage existing commercial engagements to open doors with other leading financial holding companies in Taiwan through considerate business development efforts.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring responsive communication and empathetic client engagement throughout.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding outsourcing, data residency, and cloud deployment by maintaining sensitive awareness of evolving requirements.
  • Advise headquarters on necessary product or infrastructure adjustments to meet Taiwan’s regulatory standards in a supportive manner.
  • Hire and manage local team members as the business scales, creating an inclusive environment that encourages sharing knowledge and inter-personal growth.
  • Evaluate opportunities for subsidiary incorporation when justified by revenue milestones, demonstrating responsible stewardship of organisational resources.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and client events with warmth and professionalism.
