Channel Lead
A leading global technology organisation is seeking a Distributor Channel Lead to join their optoelectronics division in New Taipei.
What you'll do:
As Distributor Channel Lead, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the optoelectronics division’s distribution strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing relationships with a diverse network of distributors globally—ranging from Tier-1 partners to regional specialists—ensuring that each channel operates efficiently and aligns with organisational goals. You will be responsible for designing robust distributor programmes tailored to specific product lines and customer segments while implementing incentive mechanisms that motivate partners towards shared success. By defining KPIs and conducting regular reviews alongside regional teams, you will help drive continuous improvement in channel performance. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you collect data from distributors for reporting purposes, providing valuable insights to senior leadership on risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in Taiwan as well as international markets such as North America and Europe. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to relationship management, strategic thinking in programme design, meticulous attention to detail in reporting processes, and a passion for supporting both internal teams and external partners.
- Manage the global distributor channel for the optoelectronics division by coordinating with Tier-1 distributors, regional specialists, and catalogue/high-service partners to ensure optimal coverage and performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive distributor programmes that focus on product areas, target applications, and end-customer priorities to maximise market reach.
- Oversee distributor incentive mechanisms such as demand-creation discounts, sales incentives, and marketing initiatives to drive engagement and results.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributors and lead regular performance reviews in collaboration with regional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Drive consistent data collection and reporting from distributors to enable accurate performance tracking and informed decision-making across all regions.
- Provide clear visibility to senior leadership regarding channel performance, risks, and improvement opportunities through detailed analysis and communication.
- Work closely with global teams based in Taiwan to facilitate seamless operations and foster collaborative relationships across multiple geographies.
- Support overseas markets including North America and Europe by adapting strategies to local requirements while maintaining global standards.
- Ensure compliance with distributor deal registration systems and CRM-based reporting tools for efficient programme management.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements by identifying best practices in channel management within the semiconductor or electronics components industry.
What you bring:
Your proven track record in distribution channel management within the semiconductor or electronics components sector will be instrumental in driving success as Distributor Channel Lead. You bring deep knowledge of business models relevant to distributors—from demand creation through fulfilment—and understand how incentives can motivate partners towards achieving shared goals. Your experience managing Tier-1 distributors alongside regional specialists demonstrates your capacity for building dependable networks across diverse markets. Advanced analytical skills allow you to interpret sales data accurately while developing actionable insights from KPIs and performance reports. With fluency in English at a professional level combined with a master’s degree or higher in relevant disciplines such as business administration or optoelectronics engineering, you are well-equipped for cross-border collaboration. Familiarity with CRM-based reporting tools further supports your ability to maintain transparent communication channels. If you have worked specifically within optoelectronics/photonics segments or supported overseas markets like North America or Europe—and possess experience using deal registration systems—you will stand out even more. Your interpersonal skills foster trust among stakeholders while your commitment to continuous improvement ensures that every aspect of channel management meets the highest standards.
- Significant experience in distribution channel management within the semiconductor or electronics components industry or related fields is essential for this role.
- Proven exposure to managing Tier-1 distributors as well as regional or catalogue partners across multiple geographies is required.
- A strong understanding of distributor business models—including demand creation, fulfilment processes, incentives structures, and typical performance targets—is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex distributor relationships and programmes internationally while fostering collaborative partnerships is highly valued.
- Analytical mindset with hands-on experience working with sales data, KPIs, performance reports, and CRM-based reporting tools is expected.
- Ability to be based in Taiwan while working effectively with global teams ensures seamless cross-border operations.
- Master’s degree or above in business administration/management or optoelectronics engineering-related disciplines is required.
- Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) at an advanced level is mandatory for effective communication across international markets.
- Specific experience in optoelectronics/photonics segments is preferred but not compulsory; familiarity with supporting overseas markets such as North America or Europe adds value.
- Experience using distributor deal registration systems enhances your ability to streamline programme management.
