As an Operation Manager Ocean Freight based in Taipei, you will play a vital part in orchestrating the entire spectrum of ocean freight activities for both imports and exports.   • Collaborate closely with shipping lines, customs authorities, port officials, and other key stakeholders to guarantee timely processing and movement of shipments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with international trade regulations by maintaining accurate documentation for all ocean freight activities and adhering to legal requirements.
  • Monitor real-time shipment status using advanced tracking systems, proactively identifying potential issues and resolving them promptly to minimise delays or disruptions.
  • Continuously review operational processes with an eye towards cost reduction while simultaneously enhancing service quality and overall efficiency.
  • Build and nurture dependable relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure consistent support and reliable service delivery across all operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews by analysing key metrics such as On-Time Shipment Delivery Rate, Customs Clearance Accuracy, Truck Booking Lead Time, Documentation Accuracy Rate, Budget Adherence, Vendor Performance Score, and Operational Cost per Shipment; implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices by researching new solutions that can be implemented to further enhance operational performance.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting staff development initiatives, encouraging open communication, and promoting knowledge sharing among team members.
