Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead their operations in Hsinchu. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a global company within the Taiwanese market.

What you'll do:

As Country Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's presence in Taiwan. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough market analysis to inform business strategies. You will collaborate closely with senior management to set up the operational framework for the Taiwanese branch. A significant part of your role will involve developing and implementing a robust sales strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives. You will also be tasked with recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing sales team. Building strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders will be crucial for success in this role.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the Taiwanese market.
  • Collaborate with senior headquarters management to establish the operational framework for the Taiwanese branch.
  • Create and implement a robust sales strategy tailored to the Taiwanese market.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and objectives.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and operational teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Country Manager position brings a wealth of experience in sales management along with an intimate understanding of the Taiwanese market. You have proven success in establishing new business operations and consistently achieving sales targets. Your exceptional leadership abilities are complemented by excellent communication skills and an ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships. You are comfortable working independently as well as collaborating within a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales management.
  • Strong understanding of the Taiwanese market and cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing new business operations and achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
