Retail Manager, Lifestyle

This role is responsible for driving commercial growth, elevating customer experience, optimizing store performance, and developing a high-performing retail team. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, deep understanding of beauty/lifestyle retail, and proven experience transforming customer engagement into sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Business Performance

  • Develop annual and seasonal retail strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and productivity targets across assigned stores.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, customer insights, and product performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing, Education, and Merchandising teams to optimize launches, campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Drive key KPIs including conversion, ATV, UPT, CRM recruitment, and repurchase rate.
  • Ensure excellence in product storytelling and category focus (skincare, makeup, fragrance, lifestyle products).

2. Retail Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, motivate, and coach Store Managers and Beauty Advisors to deliver best‑in‑class service and sales performance.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through proactive recruitment, structured onboarding, retail training, and succession planning.
  • Implement performance management frameworks, incentive programs, and continuous coaching to elevate team capabilities.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and customer-centric team culture aligned with brand values.

3. Customer Experience & Brand Excellence

  • Champion premium customer experience, ensuring service standards, consultation protocols, and brand rituals are executed consistently.
  • Strengthen CRM engagement, VIP management, loyalty programs, and customer personalization initiatives.
  • Oversee customer feedback, service recovery, and action plans to improve satisfaction and NPS.
  • Ensure stores reflect the brand’s identity in terms of visual merchandising, hygiene, ambiance, and experiential touchpoints.

4. Store Operations & Efficiency Management

  • Oversee daily operations across stores including staffing, scheduling, SOP implementation, and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage stock levels, forecasting, and product availability to minimize OOS and optimize sell-through.
  • Ensure operational compliance, risk management, and loss prevention best practices.
  • Lead new store openings, renovations, relocations, and closure projects when required.

5. Reporting, Budgeting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Prepare business reviews, sales analyses, forecasts, and operational reports for senior management.
  • Monitor P&L elements including labor cost, store expenses, and retail KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ teams to align strategies across product, marketing, digital, and education functions.
  • Contribute to long-term retail transformation initiatives including omni-channel integration and digital service tools.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in retail management, with strong exposure in beauty, skincare, fragrance, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
  • At least 5+ years leading multi-store or large flagship operations.
  • Strong commercial mindset with proven record of achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Deep understanding of beauty consultations, customer experience frameworks, and retail events execution.
  • Strong analytical capability; proficient with sales reporting, CRM analytics, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with agility and strategic thinking.
