What you'll do: * Oversee all daily factory operations including assembly lines, integration processes, rigorous testing protocols, packaging procedures, and timely shipment of servers and racks to meet customer requirements. * Champion continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and elevate product quality across the facility. * Supervise department managers and supervisors while nurturing a positive work environment for all factory personnel; provide mentorship, training opportunities, and support to foster team cohesion and individual growth. * Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production scheduling that aligns with customer deadlines and optimises throughput without compromising standards. * Implement robust quality control systems that comply with industry benchmarks as well as specific client requirements; monitor performance metrics to maintain consistent excellence in output. * Manage the layout of the factory floor along with equipment maintenance schedules; spearhead capital improvement projects to keep facilities at peak readiness for evolving business needs. * Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, ESD protocols, and other relevant safety standards; ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing workplace health and safety. * Coordinate logistics activities including inventory management and outbound shipments to guarantee accurate delivery timelines for integrated server racks. * Drive cross-departmental communication to resolve operational challenges quickly while maintaining transparency throughout the production cycle. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality assurance, cost control, and employee engagement; use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Factory Operations in this forward-thinking organisation’s server integration facility, you will bring extensive experience managing large-scale electronics manufacturing or electro-mechanical assembly sites. Your background should include deep technical knowledge of data centre hardware combined with practical expertise in optimising complex workflows under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is not only skilled at interpreting production metrics but also adept at building rapport across departments—ensuring everyone feels included in shared goals. Your approachability makes it easy for colleagues at all levels to seek guidance or share ideas openly. A strong commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards is essential given the fast-paced nature of this environment. Additionally, your proficiency with digital tools like ERP software enables you to coordinate resources efficiently while keeping projects on track. If you have previously worked with hyperscaler clients or implemented ISO-certified quality systems—or if you have hands-on experience coordinating logistics for large-scale IT deployments—your expertise will be especially valued here.

  • At least ten years’ experience in electronics manufacturing or hardware integration environments with increasing levels of responsibility overseeing complex operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of server architecture as well as networking components commonly used in data centre applications.
  • Demonstrated track record managing high-mix/high-volume factory settings where adaptability is essential for meeting shifting customer demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to mentor managers effectively while cultivating trust among diverse teams within the organisation.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems alongside advanced knowledge of production planning tools; ability to interpret manufacturing metrics for ongoing optimisation.
  • Deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as OSHA guidelines plus hands-on experience enforcing workplace safety standards at scale.
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques or Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing cycle times without sacrificing product integrity.
  • Strong organisational abilities allowing you to balance multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail across all facets of operation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for both technical audiences (engineering/planning) as well as non-technical stakeholders (factory staff/clients).
  • Preferred: Background working with hyperscaler clients or enterprise-level IT hardware providers; exposure to ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems; prior involvement in rack-level integration or burn-in testing environments.
