A leading global sporting goods organisation is seeking a Head of Information Technology (CRM and Digital) to spearhead the technology agenda for its Taiwan operations. What you'll do:

  • Own the comprehensive IT strategy for Taiwan’s Direct-to-Consumer and B2B business models by building scalable roadmaps aligned with local priorities and regional objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on digital commerce, omnichannel solutions, CRM systems, and modernisation initiatives for wholesale channels to ensure best-in-class consumer experiences.
  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of eCommerce platforms, mobile applications, CRM tools, order management systems, payment integrations, digital marketing stacks, and retail technologies.
  • Drive enhancements based on consumer insights by partnering closely with APAC IT teams to deliver regionally aligned solutions that support revenue growth and platform stability.
  • Oversee all systems supporting B2B customers—including ordering portals, customer service tools, EDI interfaces, pricing engines, and inventory visibility—to improve productivity and order efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, Retail, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective IT solutions with clear scope and ROI.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by facilitating strong communication between Taiwan market teams and APAC regional counterparts while managing demand across multiple functions.
  • Lead the delivery of all IT projects in Taiwan—spanning DTC initiatives, B2B upgrades, infrastructure improvements, security enhancements, and application rollouts—ensuring adherence to global standards.
  • Manage daily IT operations including website/app uptime monitoring, POS system stability, ERP/OMS/WMS integrations, B2B portal performance tracking, IT support services delivery, and vendor relationship oversight.
  • Develop internal capabilities by leading a high-performing team; promote an innovation-driven culture that supports DTC growth while maintaining robust governance over budgets and financial planning.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Head or similar senior leadership role within large-scale organisations—preferably with exposure to both DTC platforms and B2B/Wholesale environments.
  • Proven track record in analysis, implementation, evaluation of complex IT systems—including hardware/software infrastructure design—and their ongoing optimisation for business growth.
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer networks (hardware/software), cloud-based architectures, cybersecurity protocols, data privacy regulations (including SOX audit requirements), and enterprise integration best practices.
  • Extensive background in managing information technology budgets—covering OPEX/CAPEX planning—as well as evaluating ROI for major initiatives while ensuring cost efficiency through vendor contract optimisation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills combined with outstanding interpersonal abilities; adept at promoting information sharing across teams while contributing positively to collective outcomes.
  • Mandatory PMP (Project Management Professional) certification alongside ITIL accreditation; advanced degree (MSc/MA) in Computer Science or Engineering is highly desirable but not essential if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing or leading IT departments—with at least 5 years spent within global organisations operating under matrix structures.
  • Strong project management skills evidenced by successful delivery of multi-stakeholder projects involving cross-functional teams from sales through supply chain to finance.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; able to communicate effectively across diverse cultural contexts while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Experience building high-performing teams—both internal staff members and outsourced partners—while fostering an innovation-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement.
