What you'll do:

• Oversee daily IT operations to ensure all applications and systems function seamlessly across the organisation, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
• Implement robust IT policies and standards that align with both global directives and regional requirements, ensuring compliance and best practices at every level.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of IT professionals while managing relationships with external vendors to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
• Provide comprehensive technical support and tailored training to users across various departments, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable workplace culture.
• Plan, manage, and execute IT budgets as well as strategic acquisitions, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for current needs and future growth.
• Safeguard critical data assets, networks, and backup systems by enforcing rigorous security protocols that protect against emerging threats.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify technology solutions that add tangible value to core functions such as finance, supply chain, sales, and marketing.
• Drive continuous improvement by optimising existing processes through effective use of ERP systems in partnership with process owners.
• Support retail operations by managing POS (Point of Sale) systems and eCommerce platforms to enhance customer experience and operational agility.
• Champion agile project management methodologies to deliver timely IT projects that support organisational objectives.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline is required for this position.
• At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT roles with a minimum of 3 years spent in a leadership capacity within multinational companies is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing ERP systems that support core business functions such as finance, supply chain management, sales optimisation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Proven track record overseeing IT operations within the retail sector including hands-on experience with POS systems (such as Cegid) and eCommerce platforms (like 91App or Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Comprehensive understanding of CRM platforms (for example Salesforce) along with marketing technologies that drive customer engagement.
• Solid background in agile project management methodologies coupled with practical experience delivering daily IT operational support.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective communication across technical teams as well as non-technical stakeholders throughout the organisation.
• Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing while fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
• Strong vendor management capabilities ensuring reliable partnerships that contribute positively to overall IT performance.
• A proactive approach towards safeguarding information assets through implementation of advanced security measures.
